The Arizona Peace Trail (AZPT) is a premier off-highway vehicle (OHV) loop spanning over 675 miles through the diverse landscapes of western Arizona. Traversing Mohave, La Paz, and Yuma counties, the trail connects towns such as Yuma, Quartzsite, Parker, Lake Havasu City, Bullhead City, and Kingman. It’s designed for a variety of vehicles, including UTVs, ATVs, dirt bikes, dual-sport motorcycles, and 4x4s .

Points of Interest: Along the route, travelers can explore historic mining towns like Oatman, petroglyph sites, ghost towns, and scenic natural features such as the Hualapai Mountains and Alamo Lake .

• Best Time to Visit: The trail is open year-round, but the optimal riding season is from October through March. During this period, temperatures are milder, especially in the desert regions. Some higher elevation areas, like the Hualapai Mountains, may experience snow in winter months .

• Permits: All OHVs must display a current Arizona OHV decal. Non-residents are also required to purchase this decal for legal trail use .   
Amenities and Support •
Staging Areas: There are several designated staging areas along the trail. For instance, Quartzsite features a 1.5-acre parking area with restrooms and a camp host site . Hualapai Mountain Park offers campgrounds with water and electric hookups, though it’s typically closed from late October to early spring.

Fuel and Supplies: Fuel stations, food, and lodging are available in towns along the route, including Parker, Lake Havasu City, and Kingman. However, some stretches between towns can be lengthy, so carrying extra fuel and supplies is advisable .
